Thinking outside of the box is a must for todays Michigan wedding photographers. New wedding photographers are saturating the markets every year. We all go to the same seminars and end up offering the same products. You must do something different to stand out from the crowd.
I have been photographing weddings full time for 12 years. However, I have been in the business for 20 years. My career started out shooting with film. The transition to digital began about 10 years ago. In that time my style has changed frequently. The learning curve for new wedding photographers is very fast. Digital photography allows instant feedback.
This advancement in technology has created a generation of photographers that all look the same. The style of today will change faster than at any other time in history. Be bold and offer something that no other photographer dares to. Only then will you be able to stand out.
